Day Ten, Bicheno to Scamander

We woke up with a rather concerning weather forecast – 25 knot North Easterlies – so it was vital, or so we thought, to get away early and "make hay while the sun shines". So it was a great relief when the clouds hung around well into the early afternoon, keeping the wind at bay. Infact we didn't see any wind until we were almost to Scamander.

It was a good day for spotting wild life as we past quiet a large number of penguins floating around in groups. We also had another brief encounter with some dolphins... this time they were not being followed by a shark – not that we could see anyway.

We made our first and only stop at the White Sand Resort boat ramp. This was a very welcome stop over as we each had certain 'personal' comfort issues to deal with. Charles had a run up and down the beach (not sure why), Chris went for a swim (to cool off his out of control underarm rash), while Ben had a chat with a fisherman and managed to get another nice donation.

On arrival at Scamander we were meet by Chris's Mum and Dad, who had come all the way from Burnie to see us end day ten. The rest of our ground support were a little bit late, as we had made such good time.
