Day One Cockle Creek to Verona Sands
With the wind behind us, we set off for what was to prove to be a challenging first day. The calm conditions at Cockle Creek made for a great start, as we said good bye to family and friends.
Once out in the bay we picked up some good swell and a nice following wind that resulted in some very good surfing conditions, as a result we made good progress on our way to the first stop at Dover. The wind made getting into Dover slow going, our exit from Dover was a very different story as the wind assisted us towards the channel. Once in open water again we had a pretty 'technical' crossing to Verona Sands.
