Day 4 – Wynyard to Ulverstone
Both Charles and Teresa where up early today for a run from Sumerset to Wynyard, getting underway at 6:40 am. After a brief break to get the boat ready Charles left Wynyard around 8 am for his paddle to Ulverstone where he arrived at 5:00 pm on the Ulverstone beach near the surf life saving club.
During what was a very long day (covering some 58 kms) Charles had a stop over in Burnie and an unplanned stop at Penguin – due to rough seas resulting in him loosing his hat, glasses and water all of which was promptly replaced with the help of the kind staff at the Penguin IGA.
While it had been a rather chilly start to the day by the afternoon it was a delightful summers day, which was spent once again raising funds for Cerebral Palsy outside the Ulverstone IGA.
